Since September is National Mushroom Month, it seems fitting to highlight all we love about one of nature’s finest culinary treasures. Mushrooms rank high on both the flavor and nutrition scale and are easy to incorporate in your cooking. It’s also peak season for wild mushroom foraging here in the Pacific Northwest so we wanted to share some of our favorite mushroom recipes that we hope serve as inspiration for both the mushroom newbies and the connoisseurs!

It's loaded with a variety of tender, wild mushrooms like: morels oyster shiitake crimini The mushroom assortment gives this creamy risotto a robust, earthy flavor. Try this mushroom recipe just once and you'll for sure add it to your dinner recipe rotation! Truffles are a delicacy of the fungus family and this mushroom recipe calls for fresh black truffle. The delicate flavors of pasta strands with black truffle sauce balance with the flavors of garlic and anchovies. Fresh truffles are rare and their season is short, so if you end up with this delicacy in hand, you are in luck. Cooking for a special occasion or romantic dinner? This is THE dish.
