Here’s a look at the ingredients you’ll need for the easiest pizzas ever:

  • French bread. Soft on the inside with a crisp outer crust, toasted garlic bread has delicious flavor and chewy texture that’s perfect for pizza!
  •  Butter. Use softened butter so you can spread it on top of the bread easier. 
  •  Garlic and garlic powder. For big garlic flavor in the buttery spread. . 
  •  Pizza sauce. Use store-bought sauce for ease.
  •  Toppings: We loaded our garlic bread with mozzarella, pepperoni, and sausage, but you can add your own favorites.

​How to Make Pizza with Garlic Bread

  1. Slice the loaf in half lengthwise. Plate on a baking sheet, cut side up. 
  2.  Combine the garlic butter mixture in a bowl. Spread it on each side of the bread and cook until barely golden. 
  3.  ​Remove the bread from the oven and spread the sauce on top. 
  4.  Sprinkle on the shredded cheese, sausage and pepperoni slices. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the edges of the bread are golden brown and the cheese is melted. 
  5.  Top the garlic bread pizzas with fresh basil, pizza seasoning and Parmesan, if desired. 

Tips for Garlic Butter Bread Pizza

  • Mozzarella is a classic choice since it melts beautifully and has a mild flavor, but you can feel free to try out other types of cheeses, like provolone or cheddar. 
  •  The combination of pepperoni and sausage is always a favorite, but you can also try other toppings like bacon, ham or even chicken. If you’d like to make this vegetarian, omit the meats and add more traditional pizza topping vegetables like bell peppers, onions or mushrooms. 
  •  Store any leftovers in the refrigerator wrapped in plastic wrap or in an airtight container. It will keep well for up to five days. 
  • You can use Texas toast instead of a baguette for smaller pizzas.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of French bread
  • 12 tablespoons softened butter
  • 5 cloves of garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 8 oz. thick cut shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ to ½ cup pepperoni slices
  • 8 ounces of cooked ground sausage
  • grated Parmesan cheese for garnish
  • red pepper flakes for garnish

For the Garnish

  • Freshly chopped basil
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Pizza seasoning

Instructions

  • Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Slice the loaf in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet, cut side up. 
  • In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic, parsley, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined, then spread it on each side.
  • Bake the bread for 7 to 10 minutes or until the edges start to get a very light golden brown. 
  • Remove the bread from the oven and slather the pizza sauce on top. 
  • Sprinkle with shredded cheese, sausage, and pepperoni slices. 
  • Return the pizza bread to the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until the edges of the bread get golden brown and the cheese is melted.  
  • If desired, top with freshly chopped basil, pizza seasoning, and Parmesan. 

Notes

  • While mozzarella is recommended for its meltability and mild flavor, feel free to experiment with different types of cheese like provolone or cheddar.
  • Pepperoni and sausage are classic choices, but you can also try other toppings like bacon, ham, or even chicken. For a vegetarian option, skip the meats and add more vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms.
