A velvety smooth and rich chocolate sauce with only two ingredients. It is fast and easy to make and tastes like pure decadence.
Yes, this recipe only has two ingredients unless you choose to spike it with the bit of alcohol that is listed as optional. But honestly, even with three ingredients, this is a simple and fast recipe that will give you a decadent and rich chocolate sauce.
Drizzle (or pour) it over ice cream, use it as a dip for fruit or eat it straight from the bowl. Sharing is optional.
This is essentially a chocolate ganache recipe with just the right proportion of chocolate to cream to make it perfect for a hot fudge sauce. Some recipes will add corn syrup to in order to make it glossy but this is chocolate sauce for the purest. Real chocolate and real cream .. that’s it!
Heaven on a spoon, or on top of your ice cream if you prefer.
Choose a good chocolate because after all, this recipe is ALL about the chocolate. Today I’m using a 70% chocolate from Theo, a local artisan chocolate company here in Seattle.
These people know how to make chocolate. And they literally make it starting from the cocoa beans themselves. I can’t get enough of this chocolate and it makes some incredible, luscious, rich chocolate sauce.
