Tender, juicy BBQ pulled pork made in the slow cooker with a simple rub, apple juice, and barbecue sauce. Perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or pizza, and great for feeding a crowd!
Toss the sliced onion in the slow cooker and place the pork on top of the onion slices.
Add the apple juice and Worcestershire to the pot and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours. The pork should pull apart easily with a fork when it is done.
Drain most of the juices out of the crock pot and save them for later (it is ok to leave some of the liquid because it helps make everything a bit more saucy).
Shred the pork directly in the crockpot then stir in the barbecue sauce ½ cup at a time until it is as saucy as you like. If you want to thin the sauce out, add back some of the drained cooking juices.
Serve on soft buns with coleslaw.
