Liptauer Cheese Spread
This highly seasoned Slovakian cheese spread is best if you make it 8 hours in advance to give the flavors time to intensify. It is perfect for bagels and crackers but also gives sandwiches a special twist.

Ingredients

goat cheese or sheeps milk cheese
softened

butter
softened

paprika

teaspoons
capers
drained

anchovy fillets
chopped or smashed into a paste

minced shallots

teaspoon
caraway seeds
1/2
teaspoon
each of salt and pepper
Instructions
Combine the goat cheese and butter in a mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
Add the rest of the ingredients and beat until well combined.
Pack the cheese spread into a serving dish and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 8 to 12 hours to let the flavors develop.
Allow the cheese spread to come to room temperature before serving.
