Hard-Boiled Eggs in the Oven

Baking eggs in their shell really works. The eggs come out looking like hard-boiled eggs and they are fairly easy to peel. Some of the eggs get a portion of the egg white stuck to the shell but most of them peel like a charm.

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs or more if you want

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Place the eggs in a muffin tin or on a wire rack that is set on a baking sheet.
  • Place the eggs in the HOT oven and bake for 22 to 24 minutes.
  • Remove the eggs and place them in ice water to stop them from cooking too long.
  • Allow them to sit in the ice water until they are completely cooled down.
  • To peel the eggs, crack all around the shell then peel them under running water or in a bowl of cold water. The shell will slide off easier if it is wet.

For Medium Eggs

  • Bake for 18 to 19 minutes

For Soft Eggs

  • Bake for 16 to 17 minutes

Notes

The muffin tin and wire rack will prevent the eggs from rolling around.
