Figs and Gorgonzola

Figs and Gorgonzola makes a simple, yet delicious appetizer. The sweetness and crunch of the seeds in the figs is complimented with the creamy gorgonzola cheese.

Ingredients

  • 10 fresh ripe figs any kind will do
  • 5 ounces good gorgonzola cheese
  • sprigs of fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

  • Rinse figs under cool water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut them in half and place on a serving plate.
  • Crumble or slice gorgonzola and slightly press into each fig.
  • Garnish with a sprig of thyme and serve.

Notes

These can be prepared in advance and refrigerated, remove from the refrigerator 30 minutes before serving.
