This chocolate ganache makes a velvety smooth and rich chocolate sauce with only two ingredients. It is fast and easy to make and tastes like pure decadence.
7ouncesdark chocolate200 grams, finely chopped (use 55% to 70% chocolate)
Optional Flavoring
2tablespoonsBrandyCognac or your choice of alcoholic spirits
Instructions
Place the cream in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat until just barely simmering. Remove from heat and whisk in the chopped chocolate until completely melted and smooth.
Stir in the brandy or cognac, if using.
Notes
This sauce will firm up to a thick truffle-like consistency when it is cooled, just zap it in the microwave for a few seconds to reach a pourable consistency.
