Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookies

Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookies have a subtle earthy flavor that is even more pronounced thanks to the rich morsels of chocolate. It’s a classic culinary combination that is delicious in cookie form!

All-purpose flour Matcha green tea powder Baking soda Salt Butter Brown sugar Granulated sugar Eggs Vanilla extract Chocolate chips


Combine the dry ingredients. Sometimes ingredients like matcha, flour, and baking soda have small clumps. If you sift or whisk the ingredients, the clumps will break up and distribute into the batter much better.

Step One

Beat together the butter and sugars. Use an electric mixer for best results.

Step Two

Mix the wet and dry ingredients and fold in the chocolate chips. Chill the dough for at least one hour before baking. This will affect how the cookies bake. 

Step Three

Scoop the cookie dough and bake. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and use a tablespoon-sized cookie scoop  to scoop balls of dough onto the pan.
