Instructions
Place the ham, cut-side-down, on heavy-duty aluminum foil and wrap the ham thoroughly. Or use an oven roasting bag.
Bake in a preheated 275°F oven for 6 minutes per pound.
To glaze the ham, remove the ham from the oven after it has baked for 50 minutes, increase the oven temperature to 350°F and brush the top of the ham with the ginger preserves or your choice of glaze.
Return it to the oven for an additional 10 minutes. Let stand at room temperature before serving.
Notes
If you are using the package of glaze mix that is provided with the ham, simply follow the instructions on the package.
